About WC Mistic Academy
The academy has been a dream of founder, Chelsea Niehaus, for several years, but only recently in the spring of 2015 did the idea become a solid idea with the opening of our online Southern Folk Magic supply store, Walnut Cottage Mistic. Although, Chelsea has tried many things, this is the one thing that has been most consistent and has meant the most to her. The success and consistency of Walnut Cottage Mistic gave Chelsea the confidence necessary in order to push forward and start the academy.
Chelsea's experience with Southern Folk Magic dates back to childhood where she avidly studied her mother's books on herbalism and sewed her own rudimentary mojo bags before even knowing what they truly were.
Over the years she began to study various forms of magical systems, but the only one that truly made sense to her was the glorious gumbo that makes up southern folk magic. So over the years she continued to study Southern Folk Magic through both practice and historical research. While living in Kentucky she made a study of documented instances of Southern Folk Magic in the Bluegrass State and hopes to eventually return and complete and publish her research.
In addition to her practical experience and research of Southern Folk Magic, Chelsea also has an extensive academic background including a BA in Arts Administration and an MBA. She has also studied in Paris as a part of her master's work. She also holds several certificates in such varied areas as life coaching and reiki.
Homework 1
Now that you have learned a little about the academy and it's founder. It's time for us to learn a bit about you. Please answer the following questions about yourself and your interest in Southern Folk Magic. Answers should be between 600-700 words for all questions combined. Please send them in using the submission form below.
